As the education system for girls are very bad in Jammu and Kashmir. In the state there are very less girls who has authority to study and go to college. There are lots of restrictions on girls. To make the girls parts of society Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti trying to do her best. Under her affords she launch Scooty Finance scheme for Jammu and Kashmir College going girls.

What is Scooty Finance scheme for Jammu and Kashmir’s college going girls?

Under this scheme of lending Scooty, Women’s College, Gandhi Nagar and Women’s College was first benefited college in the state. This scheme was planned to be get completed with the tie-up of International Automobile Company in order to provide automobiles for discounted prices to the desired students of Jammu & Kashmir.

What benefit did the girl get under this scheme?

The system imagines that the State Government will make easy the purchasing of scooties by the college going girls by paying 50 % amount of the actual rate of the scooties. This scheme is for college going motivate them towards education so that they can also take part in all the social actives of society like boys.

Condition to take benefits of this scheme:

  • As per the plan, girl students who are practice a degree course of not less than three year duration can apply under the scheme.
  • She must have minimum 65% marks in their 10+2 standard and current degree course years. Students who have less marks can not apply for this scheme.
  • The student must be then 18 years of age; they must be having a valid driving license. If they have not driving license they must first apply for it.
  • The yearly income of the student’s parents/guardian should not be more than Rs 4 lakh and should be capable to pay the pending 50% of the Scooty amount

Document required:

  • Candidate must provide their verified copy of their 10+2 certificate to confirm their mark. They must provide their age proof and driving license copy. And also income proof of their parents

How to apply for the scheme

Girls’ student can collect the form from their colleges. After the announcement 1 week time is given to students to fill the form. The form must be carefully filled and all the information in it must be accurate other form will be cancelled by the authority. The form must be attested by some state authority. Also all the document mentioned above must be attached with the form

The student may also have to provide a bond certify certain conditions under the scheme. The scheme shall be accessible within a fixed time period as precise by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and selection of Scooty Sponsorship shall be done on merit the merit basis and the locations mentioned by the Government. Students who have good marks have more chances to get Scooties

All completed forms will be accepted within one week, in individual districts, will then be verified and sort. On the date of allocation, confirmed forms of applicants will be chosen by means of a draw of lots.

No doubt girls from the poor families in the J&K state will get benefited by this scheme and it will help them to carry their education without hassle in form of transportation.

Bikes Cycles for boys

Just like the scooties for girl students, the chief minister of the state planned to offers Terrain Bikes for the boys of the state who completed the 10th class with more than 65% in their annual results and those who are from the poor family. This plan for providing Terrain bikes for boys in the Jammu and Kashmir State will be provided under the new scheme of ATB (All Terrain Bikes).

Condition to get Bike cycles:

  • As per the plan, girl students who 10th exams will be eligible for a bicycle. Poor boys who are pursing in class 10th cannot take advantage of this scheme
  • Shall secure above 65 per cent in his 10th exams will be eligible for a bicycle. Students who have less marks can not apply for this scheme.
  • Students must give in written that after class 10th he shall continue to pursue his education. If he do so only then he can get the bike
  • The student must be then 18 years of age; they must be having a valid driving license. If they have not driving license they must first apply for it.
  • The yearly income of the student’s parents or guardian should not be very high. Means students with lower economic background are worthy to take benefit of this scheme
  • The cycles distributed under this scheme will not be allowed to be resold, and any violation will result in forfeiting of the Cycle

How to get benefit this scheme:

The motor cycles would be provided on 90:10 bases where 90 per cent of the cost would be borne by the government and only 10 per cent by the student.  To get bike cycles students must fill the form which they can get from their school. The form will be filled completely before submitting otherwise form will be rejected.

So government is trying to give benefits to both boys and girls of state so that they can get higher education.
