Akhilesh Yadav’s Glass and Plate Yojana
The Samajwadi Party seems to be unstoppable when it comes to woo the inhabitants of the state Uttar Pradesh. After the successful completion of the Laptop scheme the state government of UP has again come to the limelight when they have declared about the Free Smartphone Distribution Scheme. Though the scheme is still under process as the mobile phones will be delivered only after the 2017 election however the government hasn’t finished here. Now they are on another mission to impress another set of people in the state.
On the auspicious day of Dhanteras, Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has distributed a bunch of glass and plates to the primary school students. The CM said that it is a part of Mid-day Meal Project in UP. Under this yojana or scheme all the primary school students across the state will receive stainless steel plates and glasses. On the day of Dhanteras this year he inaugurated the scheme for the primary school kids.
Key features of the scheme
- As the part of Mid-day Meal, CM Akhilesh Yadav distributed stainless steel plates and glasses to the school kids on the day of Dhanteras this year. The plates and the glasses will be used to eat mid-day meals distributed in the primary schools.
- Students from class 1 to class 8 will be benefitted under the scheme. on 28th October this year CM along with other state government officials have distributed large numbers of plates and glasses to kids from several primary schools on that day.
- Yadav started implementing the scheme on 28th October from Mohanlalganj. The authority has ordered to all the districts that at least 5 schools should be listed under each district on 28th October in which the steel utensils will be distributed.
- According to the Samajwadi Party in the first phase of this scheme nearly 8 Lac kids will be benefitted. The party is also hopeful that the scheme can cover up to 1 Cr kids across the state in recent future.
The main objective of the scheme is to provide utensils to the kids so that they can properly have their mid-day meals in schools. In this scheme the kids between class 1 and class 8 will be benefitted. The state government is keen to provide best services to the kids across the state.
In the first phase the government will allocate Rs. 115 Cr for this scheme. One plate and one glass will cost nearly Rs. 113/-. According to the sources companies from the places namely Moradabad, Lucknow and Noida will manufacture the plates and glasses.
Special Feature of the Scheme
Under this scheme each plate and glass will have a poster of Akhilesh Yadav on it. Before this, the Samajwadi party has printed their CM’s photo in many ration cards as well. Though in few months there will be election in UP however the ruling party does not seem to stop from leaving their marks on everything.
Other Schemes by SP
On the day of Dhanteras along with distributing the stainless steel glasses and plates the CM has also announced about other schemes and facilities in UP. To start with, he firstly said about the police helpline (100). He assured everyone that the biggest problem people face while dialling the number is language. Many a people from the state are unable to understand the language. But Akhilesh said that there won’t be any issue like this from now onwards.
On the other he talked about the woman pension scheme and hot milk scheme for the kids. He said currently 55% of total women pensioners are getting properly paid, by the next year it will be 100%. The SP already started the scheme under which kids get hot milk in their schools. Milk is healthy and nutritious food. This leads to healthier kids and hence development of the state.
